Friday Favorite: Illuminated Icicles

For those of you who haven't had the chance to visit us in person, you have not been able to experience our lovely entryway. Not only are you greeted by two fantastic topiaries (I could only fit one in the photo), a great black & white curtain....

...but also one unbelievably beautiful lucite chandelier.

I'm in love with most things lucite, however, this chandelier tops the list. La la la LOVELY!

Thom Filicia has used one similar to ours in his design below. It really brings the room together and acts as a focal point.

Here, Chloe Warner uses a variation of the chandelier in an airy setting. In both Thom and Chloe's designs, the regency of the chandelier plays against more casual pieces.

As with many of the Friday Favorites that I will post for you, the chandelier is not limited to one type of space. Katie Ridder uses it in a dining room. Again, even though the chandelier itself is bold, she pairs it with understated things so the room is still welcoming. Dinner party anyone??

As many of us have seen, Kate's Place has many fantastic design elements - one of them being a mini version of our illuminated icicles. This image from Town & Country Magazine showcases her chandelier with other statement pieces. Striped wallpaper, yes, please. Lipstick red walls, yes, PLEASE!

Here is a similar image from M. Design Interiors that shows the chandelier against fantastic wallpaper. The great thing about lucite is that it has a beautiful appearance in most forms, but never overwhelms a space.

Lovely lucite anyone??

Have a great weekend!

xoxo

Your entranceway is lovely! Very classic, which I love. Lucite and crystal are so popular right now. I like it in certain settings...but sometimes I feel like people throw in lucite furniture just to make a statement, but it's just not the right piece of furniture to use. What do you think?
