Dorothy Rodgers

Last night I finished reading 'The House In My Head' by Dorothy Rodgers. This book really made me jealous. Building a house from scratch is a fantasy....what would it look like? Who would be the architect? Would I get to have Nanz hardware on every window, door and drawer? If you feel like walking through the dream process, complete with visits to Hong Kong for selecting area rugs and receiving a Picasso for your birthday to hang in the Living Room, I recommend this book. A decorator's escape.

our submission to the 7th annual san francisco jingle and mingle designer wreath auction

Our inspiration for our wreath came from our constant search for the rediscovered. With the help of our friend, Meg White, we selected an array of vintage holiday postcards and then glued then to a plexiglass 1/2"thick circular tray. My favorite part about this 'wreath' is that the backsides of the postcards are visible through the plexi-glass. The messages are heartfelt from holidays past but also have a lovely ivory patina that paper acquires with time. We love it. Thank you Meg.
